Summary

Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, we provided crime awareness briefings to 660 employees. This review focused on seven operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following two activities (1) medication management and (2) physician credentialing and privileging. The facility reported as accomplishments its electronic medical records review database and its Veterans Health Administration Systems Redesign award. We made recommendations for improvement in the following five activities: QM. Environment of care. Coordination of care. Management of multidrug-resistant organisms. Management of test results.
