Combined Assessment Program Review of the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center West Palm Beach, Florida

The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, we provided crime awareness briefings to 192 employees. This review focused on eight operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following four activities: (1) coordination of care, (2) physician credentialing and privileging, (3) reusable medical equipment, and (4) suicide prevention safety plans. We made recommendations for improvement in the following four activities: Magnetic resonance imaging safety. Environment of care. QM. Medication management.
