Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, we provided crime awareness briefings to 105 employees. This review focused on seven operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following five activities: (1) environment of care, (2) management of multidrug-resistant organisms, (3) management of test results, (4) medication management, and (5) QM. The facility’s reported accomplishments were system improvements in fee basis care and the creation of an innovative tool to track and trend environment of care rounds. We made recommendations for improvement in the following two activities: Physician credentialing and privileging. Coordination of care.
