Summary
The purpose of the review was to evaluate selected operations, focusing on patient care administration and quality management (QM). During the review, we provided crime awareness training to 227 employees. This review focused on seven operational activities. The facility complied with selected standards in the following five activities: (1) coordination of care, (2) medication management, (3) physician credentialing and privileging, (4) QM, and (5) suicide prevention safety plans. The facility’s reported accomplishments were opening a new community based outpatient clinic, establishing a nationally recognized method for Fentanyl patch destruction, and receiving an award for canteen staff friendliness and courtesy. We made recommendations for improvements in the following two activities: • Reusable medical equipment • Environment of care
