Yulonda Eckel, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, was charged with two counts for false pretenses, two counts for using a computer to commit a crime, and one count for filing a false tax return. Eckle, an employee at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, allegedly obtained two Paycheck Protection Program loans from the federal government totaling more than $41,000 by claiming she was a sole proprietor. The investigation revealed that Eckel did not operate a sole proprietorship. This case was investigated by the VA OIG.
